The Omni Ice™ Intermittent Cold + Compression system is an industrial-strength compressive cold therapy machine designed for the weekend warrior or the patient who is recovering from surgery.
The Omni Ice™ IC Cold Therapy System was designed by orthopedic surgeons with the recovering patient in mind. The Recover Ready Ice machine was designed to be your go-to cold therapy during your recovery.
The Omni Ice™ Pulse Compression Cold Therapy System gently circulates water, cooled by ice, through an insulated hose to a patent-pending anatomic pad to the afflicted body part. Combining cold and compression is the gold standard your body is looking for while recovering.
You can choose between 3 cycle lengths (20,40,60 minutes) and 3 cycle strengths (low, medium, and high).

Ease of Use
- Add water to at least the "Water min" line in the cooler.
- Add ice cubes up to but not past the "Ice Max" line in the cooler.
- Shut lid.
- Plug-in power cord
- Hold the power button in for 3 seconds.
- Choose a compression setting of Low, Medium or High.
- Choose a time setting: 20 minutes, 40 minutes, or 60 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I use this machine? Consult with your physician, but generally, 20 minutes on/20 minutes off is common. Start with low compression immediately after surgery, switching to medium or high after the first week.
How do I drain the water from the wrap? With the unit off and the wrap still connected, raise the wrap above the machine and squeeze to drain the water back into the reservoir. The hose's one-way valves prevent water from draining if not attached.
How much ice should I use? Use enough ice to maintain the water in the low 30-degree range for optimal pain relief. Crushed or bagged ice is recommended.
What is the best way to keep the water cold? Use Omni Ice Freeze Bags for cost-effective and efficient cold therapy. Avoid using frozen water bottles as the glue from labels can damage the unit.
Is a skin barrier necessary? While the wrap has a built-in barrier, it should not be placed directly on the skin. Always use an additional barrier for protection.
Is the machine running? The unit is designed to be quiet. If in doubt, place your hand on the machine to feel intermittent vibrations. Ensure there is enough water in the reservoir. If you experience issues, contact customer support at (704) 336-9374.
How do I clean the unit? Wipe the exterior and reservoir with Lysol wipes or a similar product. Keep the wrap's hook clear of lint and pet hair. For long-term storage, ensure the unit is dry and store it flat.

It's a quality machine, great cold ice therapy. I've struggled getting into the shoulder pad even w/help. The velcro is so strong, makes things difficult when it's grabbing the wrong parts while maneuvering. The flap for under the affected arm is so short, I have to hold the arm out while we struggle to get it in place, which is a bad thing to be trying to do after surgery. Also, I selected this unit for the compression, which doesn't seem to really work, the fit isn't snug enough to feel much pressure.
I rented a machine for a previous shoulder surgery, it was superior making it hard to love this one. But I do think it was the best choice for purchase. We've gotten better at getting it on, it's very cold, comfortable and easy to use. We will be ordering the knee attachment for future needs.
I do recommend it. However, if good compression to the shoulder is really important to anyone, consider renting the professional level unit.

First I want to say that purchase and shipping was stellar. I ordered late at night and before noon later that day I received my confirmation and tracking number. Can’t ask for better customer service than that.
I was looking for a cold therapy machine that had compression and cold. This unit fits the bill. It has 3 levels of compression and 3 time settings. It offers maximum flexibility.
Unit holds the cold really well also. Highly recommend it.

My wife loves this machine!
When I was researching and prepping things for my wife's full knee replacement, I discovered that a very important post-surgery physical therapy combination is circulating cold AND (active) compression. Our Doctor recommended a device that we could rent for several hundred dollars per month, and the options to purchase on-line were limited.
After my comparisons of the three options providing active cold and pressure, I chose the Recover Ready Pulse Compression Ice Machine. So far it has performed exactly as they claimed it would.
It looks and feels very well built, it's quiet, has a non-tip design, easy controls for many options of pressure and cold, and different timer options (from 15 minute on-off cycles to 60minute cycles.) The control screen even shows water temperature.
In the Q&A section of their site was the best advice: Freeze 8 small water bottles and rotate 4 at a time in the water in the machine and not have to deal with ice at all. It's easy, and keeps the circulating water cold for 4 - 5 hours.
The only reason I give it a 9 instead of a 10 is that the Velcro strap needs a slight modification to make it easier to fit it properly around the knee, but it is a minor annoyance compared to the overall benefits and ease of use of this machine.
A fine machine my wife (and her recovering new knee) loves!

After my neck surgery, I experienced severe muscle spasms, pain and so much discomfort. Since I started using this ice with cold water treatment, the pain from the muscle discomfort, I started feeling much better. I’m not 100% without discomfort but, is much better. I’m able to sleep a bit longer without waking up as the result of this therapy! Thank you. Before I used to sleep no more than 3 hrs per night.!!
